Since 2002, The Turn has been on the forefront of
inspiring hope and enhancing the health and well-being
of adults, children and veterans with physical disabilities
in Greater Cleveland and surrounding communities.
WHO WE ARE
Our campus of the Wharton Center, located at the North Olmsted Golf Club, offers members barrier-free access to an adaptive fitness center, indoor golf learning center, a newly expanded multipurpose activity room and a nine-hole executive length golf course, as well as one of the largest fleets of adaptive golf vehicles.
WHAT WE DO
Lead by a dedicated team of PGA golf professionals and certified fitness instructors, we serve individual members and partner groups like the VA Hospital and Youth Challenge, offering adaptive fitness and recreation opportunities to help improve balance, coordination, muscle strength and, most importantly, self-esteem.
WHO WE SERVE
Our members- from junior to adults - represent a broad range of physical disabilities, including stroke survivors, amputees, traumatic brain injuries, visual impairment, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy and Parkinson's disease.
HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT
Our facilities, programs and equipment are all specifically
designed to serve the health and wellness needs of
people with physical disabilities. From our fully accessible
facilities, to our fleet of adaptive golf carts, everything
we do is focused on eliminating barriers for participation.
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
The Turn answers the question of “What's next?” Using the game of golf as a vehicle, along with other
health and wellness activities, we help put our members
back on course to thrive both physically and emotionally.
